What You’ll Do
- Financial Accounting and Daily Business (Main focus):
- Independently managing accounts receivable and accounts payable
- Processing incoming and outgoing invoices as well as bank and payment transactions
- Posting all routine business transactions to the general ledger
- Executing and monitoring payment transactions for the GmbH and the holding company
- Reconciling general ledger accounts and accounts receivable and accounts payable summary accounts with subsidiary ledgers
- Financial Statements and Reporting:
- Assisting with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with HGB and US GAAP
- Preparing and formatting reporting packages for the US holding company
- Recognition and recording accruals and provisions under both accounting standards
- Ensure data consistency between the general ledger and subsidiary ledgers
- Intercompany and International Accounting:
- Execution and reconciliation of intercompany balances within the international group
- Posting and monitoring of intercompany transactions
- Processing of transactions in foreign currencies, including valuation
- Process Optimization and Systems:
- Analysis and continuous improvement of existing accounting processes
- Identification and implementation of automation opportunities
- Administrator for Expensify (separate travel expense reporting tool)
- Collaboration on ERP optimizations and system enhancements
What We’re Looking For
- Completed apprenticeship in business administration with additional training in accounting (e.g., certified accountant (m/f/d), financial accountant (m/f/d), tax clerk (m/f/d)) or comparable
- Several years of professional experience in financial accounting
- In-depth knowledge of the German Accounting Standard (HGB); practical knowledge of US GAAP is a plus
- Experience working in an international environment
- Experience in the manufacturing industry is a plus
- Basic knowledge of tax law (payroll tax) is a plus
- Several years of experience working with ERP systems
- Excellent Excel skills
- A strong interest in the digitalization and automation of financial processes
- A structured, precise, and independent work style
- Strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of processes
- Strong communication skills in an international setting
- Ability to work in a team and a hands-on approach
- Excellent English and German skills
