What You’ll Do
- Providing first and second level support and troubleshooting for end users' hardware, software, and network-related issues, primarily for desktop computers, laptops, servers, switches, firewalls, and remote access appliances (Meraki)
- Installation, configuration, and maintenance of desktop systems, software applications, and peripheral devices such as printers, scanners, monitors, and smartphones
- Setting up new workstations and performing hardware and software upgrades as needed
- Ensuring that technical support requests are resolved in accordance with the defined service level agreements (SLAs) and immediately escalating critical incidents
- Documentation of all support activities, including solutions, troubleshooting steps, and user interactions in a ticket system
- Assisting in maintaining an accurate inventory of hardware and software assets
- Performing regular preventive maintenance activities, including system updates, patches, and security checks
- Conducting basic training for end users on the use of hardware and software, best practices, and security awareness
- Developing IT policies and adapting them to process changes, establishing new policies
- Current status documentation of the operating network, including international conditions
What We’re Looking For
- Completed apprenticeship as a IT specialist (m/f/d) or comparable qualifications
- 3 years of professional experience as a desktop support technician or in a comparable position
- Knowledge of Windows operating systems, Unix
- Knowledge of network administration (LAN, WAN, VPN)
- Knowledge of Windows, MDM, and M365 (e.g., Microsoft 365, Azure)
- Experience in data warehouse development (SQL, Python, .NET, C#).
- Strong understanding of computer hardware, including desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals
- Proficiency in diagnosing and troubleshooting hardware and software problems
- Basic knowledge of networking principles, TCP/IP, and troubleshooting connection problems
- Fluent written and spoken English
